1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how BarcodeGenerator.ai ("BarcodeGenerator.ai", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit our website, create an account, generate barcodes, use AI features, purchase a subscription, or contact support.

By using the service, you acknowledge the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not submit personal information or use account-based or AI features.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

1. Account and authentication data — name, email address, profile image, account identifiers, authentication status, and session information. If you use Google sign-in, Google provides the account information you authorize it to share.
2. Barcode and workspace data — barcode values, format and styling settings, saved templates, batch settings, and export preferences.
3. AI and uploaded content — prompts, product images, requested barcode values, AI task status, and generated results when you choose an AI feature.
4. Payment and subscription data — plan, order, subscription, credit balance, transaction status, billing email, and identifiers received from our payment provider. We do not store complete payment-card numbers.
5. Support communications — messages, attachments, and account or transaction details you provide when requesting help.
6. Technical and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, referring pages, error and security logs, and feature interactions.
7. Cookies and local storage — authentication cookies and browser storage used for sessions, language, appearance, locally saved templates, privacy choices, service preferences, and—only with permission—analytics, optional third-party features, advertising, or campaign attribution.

3. Browser-local processing

Standard barcode rendering, live preview, and ordinary spreadsheet imports are designed to run in your browser. Barcode values and spreadsheet rows are not sent to an AI provider merely because you use the standard generator.

Data may be transmitted to our servers when you sign in, save a cloud template, use account features, contact support, make a purchase, or start an AI task. AI product images, prompts, and related inputs must be transmitted to the AI infrastructure used to perform the requested generation.

Cookie choices

Necessary technologies support authentication, security, language, appearance, and remembering your privacy choice. They remain active because the requested service cannot operate reliably without them.

Optional technologies are disabled until you choose to enable their category:

• Analytics measures traffic and feature usage;
• Third-party features enables services such as Google One Tap and customer-support chat;
• Marketing enables advertising and campaign attribution, including storage of a UTM source.

You can accept all optional categories, use necessary technologies only, or choose categories individually. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the website footer.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide barcode generation, exports, templates, AI workflows, accounts, and support;
• authenticate users and protect accounts;
• process purchases, subscriptions, credits, invoices, cancellations, and refunds;
• operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service;
• prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and harmful activity;
• send transactional messages, service notices, and support responses;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our User Agreement.

Where required by law, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent.

5. AI processing

When you use an AI feature, the prompt, uploaded image, barcode-related instructions, and necessary technical metadata may be sent to AI service providers and their model infrastructure. AI providers process this content to return the requested output and may handle it under their own terms and privacy policies.

Do not upload confidential, regulated, biometric, financial, health, or other sensitive personal data unless you have the necessary rights and have determined that the relevant AI processing is appropriate for your use case.

6. Service providers and disclosures

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information to service providers only as needed to operate the service, including:

• Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, security, Workers, and database infrastructure;
• Google when you choose Google authentication or allow optional Google One Tap functionality;
• Creem for checkout, payment processing, subscriptions, invoicing, tax handling, fraud prevention, refunds, and buyer support as merchant of record;
• AI infrastructure providers, including fal.ai, to perform AI planning and image-generation tasks you request;
• Resend and email delivery providers for verification, transactional email, and support communications.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the service, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Third-party services maintain their own privacy notices. Their practices are governed by their policies and the agreements applicable to their services.

7. Payments

Purchases are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record. Creem may collect your name, email, billing address, payment details, tax information, device data, and transaction information. Creem is responsible for payment collection, applicable indirect tax handling, and issuing invoices for transactions it processes. Please review Creem's Privacy Notice for its processing practices.

8. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and credit records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose.

You may request account or personal-data deletion. Some transaction, security, backup, and audit records may remain where retention is required or permitted by law. Information controlled independently by a third-party provider must be requested from that provider.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport, access controls, secret management, and service monitoring. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login methods and for not placing sensitive information in barcode values, prompts, images, or support messages unless necessary.

10. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we and our providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards. By using the service, you understand that information may be processed internationally subject to applicable law.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may update some account information through settings or submit a request by email.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Mandatory legal and security retention may limit deletion requests. You may also contact your local data-protection authority where applicable.

12. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot legally consent to the service. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

13. Changes

We may update this policy as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where a material change requires it.
