Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BarcodeGenerator.ai, including its website, barcode tools, account features, subscriptions, Credits, AI workflows, exports, and support services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing the Service, creating an account, or purchasing a paid plan, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The service

BarcodeGenerator.ai provides browser-based single and batch barcode generation, previews, templates, printing, exports, and optional AI-assisted planning and product mockups. Features, limits, output formats, and Credit costs are displayed in the Service and may vary by plan.

Standard barcode generation may be offered without charge. Account, batch, AI, storage, export, API, or team features may require a paid plan or Credits.

3. Barcode accuracy and compliance

You are responsible for verifying every barcode before production use. Test the final output with the scanners, printers, materials, software, retailers, carriers, and workflows that will actually use it.

Generating an EAN, UPC, ISBN, GS1, or other regulated symbol does not issue, register, validate, or transfer ownership of the encoded number. You must obtain identifiers from the appropriate issuing organization and comply with its rules. We do not guarantee retailer acceptance, carrier acceptance, regulatory compliance, successful scanning, or suitability for a particular purpose.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login method secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and must notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You may not share, sell, or transfer an account in a way that bypasses plan or access limits.

We may use email verification or third-party authentication. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.

5. Credits and AI tasks

Credits are service units, not money, stored value, cryptocurrency, or a transferable asset. Credits have no cash value and may only be used for eligible features within the Service.

• The Credit cost shown before starting an AI task applies to that task.
• A successful AI task consumes the displayed Credits even if you decide not to use the output.
• If the provider request fails before a usable result is produced, the Service is designed to return the task Credits automatically.
• Credits included with a plan or promotion may expire as displayed in the pricing page, checkout, account, or offer.
• Credits cannot be sold, transferred, or combined between accounts unless the Service expressly permits it.

We may correct balances affected by fraud, duplicate grants, payment reversal, technical error, or abuse.

6. AI outputs

AI features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, or visually unsuitable results. AI-generated scenes are not relied upon to create the encoded barcode pattern; the exact barcode is generated separately by the barcode engine where that workflow is supported.

You must review AI outputs and the final barcode placement before use. We do not guarantee originality, exclusivity, non-infringement, factual accuracy, commercial suitability, or that an output will be free from visual artifacts. Do not use AI outputs to mislead consumers or make unsupported product claims.

7. Your content

You retain your rights in barcode values, prompts, images, spreadsheets, templates, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to host, transmit, reproduce, transform, and process User Content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service and to engage service providers for those purposes.

You represent that you own or have permission to process and upload User Content. Do not upload content that violates privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, confidentiality, or other rights. You are responsible for removing sensitive information that is not necessary for the task.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• violate law, regulation, sanctions, or another person's rights;
• generate deceptive product labels, counterfeit identifiers, fraudulent shipping documents, or misleading claims;
• upload malware or harmful, exploitative, illegal, or abusive content;
• probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass security, rate limits, Credits, plan limits, or access controls;
• impersonate others or falsely suggest an affiliation;
• resell or provide unauthorized shared access to the Service.

We may remove content or suspend access where we reasonably believe use creates legal, security, fraud, or abuse risk.

9. Paid plans and Creem checkout

Paid purchases are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record and contractual reseller for transactions completed through its checkout. Creem collects payment, issues invoices, handles applicable indirect taxes, and provides buyer payment services. Your purchase is also subject to Creem's Buyer Terms.

Prices, billing intervals, included Credits, plan limits, applicable taxes, and the total charge are shown before checkout. You authorize Creem to charge the selected payment method for the amount shown at checkout.

10. Subscriptions and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing period until canceled. You may cancel through account billing settings or the Creem customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewal. Unless the account or checkout states otherwise, paid access continues until the end of the current billing period. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.

Deleting your BarcodeGenerator.ai account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed through Creem. Cancel the subscription first or contact support.

11. Refunds and payment disputes

To request a refund, email support@barcodegenerator.ai with the purchase email and order details. Requests are reviewed case by case based on applicable law, duplicate or unauthorized charges, service access, Credits granted or consumed, and completed AI tasks. No refund is guaranteed except where required by law.

Approved refunds are processed through Creem. Credits returned automatically after a failed AI request are service Credits, not a cash refund. Before starting a chargeback, please contact us or Creem so the issue can be investigated. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, software, interface, documentation, branding, and original site content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of the Service.

Subject to these Terms and third-party rights, you may use barcode files and completed outputs generated for you. Your use of an output remains your responsibility.

13. Availability and changes

We may maintain, update, replace, limit, or discontinue features, models, providers, formats, or plans. We aim to operate the Service reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. You are responsible for downloading and backing up outputs needed for your operations.

14. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or scanning performance. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so those exclusions may not fully apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, labeling errors, failed scans, rejected shipments, recalls, or business interruption arising from the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Mandatory liability that cannot legally be limited remains unaffected.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, fraud, payment reversal, security threat, abuse, legal requirement, or conduct that risks harm to the Service or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or legal requirements change. The updated date appears above. Where legally required, we will provide additional notice of material changes. Continuing to use the Service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
